Can I Use Phone For Blogging: Blogging Advice
You Don’t Necessarily Need A Laptop To Start Blogging. Your Phone Can Still Do it.
For this five years experience in blogging, I’ve always preferred blogging with my phone in addition with my laptop, sometimes I do everything on my phone, and this has made me always dwell on powerful mobile devices for efficient work productivity.
The thing is, you don’t necessarily need to own a laptop for you to venture Into blogging. I started with a mobile phone and believe me, it was and still is conveniently and mobility efficient for me.
I get it. You may ask can phone do all the technical design in blogging. Here’s the thing. When it comes to designing and setting up your blog, you definitely need a laptop for precise technical efficiency. (Not that phone can’t do some of the technical setup too). But for the sake of preciseness and efficiency, laptop seems to be the best.
But when it comes to publishing content, c’mon, your phone can do that. Just ensure it has powerful features such as:
A strong processor.
At Least 4-6 GB Ram.
At Least 128 GB of Storage.
A High Refresh Rate Display.
At Least, 4000mAh Battery With Fast Charging.
With all the aforementioned features, you’re good to go.
Blogging with your phone puts you in a class of many advantages. Suchlike:
Mobility Advantage (you can blog while on transit). Especially when quick ideas comes to your mind.Sometimes there are some idea you will be getting at a place where your laptop will not be with you there. But once you take your phone anywhere you go, you can quickly save down those ideas on your phone and use it later or even apply it as soon as possible.
I also do the same now, a blogger using laptop for my blogging. I save my ideas for content on my phone notebook or even write a whole content using my phone notebook and latter transfer it to my Gmail account. After that, I will copy it from my Gmail on my laptop and send it to google docs and edit my spelling mistakes. That is very simple.
Less Power Saving (You don’t need to worry about power consumption that comes with owning a laptop).
Is starting blogging with a laptop that don’t have battery and I away need to put it on plug before I can use it to do what I want to do. And because of that, I can’t do blogging anywhere unless my room. That made me got the idea off adding my phone to my blogging journey.
Fewer data consumption. This is a big advantage for beginners like me and you in these Third World countries.
Using your computer or laptop consumes a lot of data. Most beginners in blogging can’t always afford data at that higher cost. This is a very big obstacle for beginners bloggers. A lot of people face this problem. I also experienced it way back.
These are some mobile apps to make mobile blogging easier. Suchlike:
Google doc: You can use it as your note pad, for writing articles, plus checking of grammatical blunders and spelling errors.
Download the Google Docs app on your phone and write your articles or content there. For this one you can do the text editing as you are even writing it for easy works.
Or even use the speech to text feature of it. It will also show you the word count as well.
Grammarly is also a good tool for checking spelling mistakes and grammar errors. It also has their phone app there. So you are good to go with your notebook too as well.
Canva: To design your images with ease to your suitability.Canva is a very good graphic design site like Photoshop. But this is totally made for beginners like me and you. Very easy to use. Everything is drag and drop. There are template there that you can use by editing it to make work convenient.
I really like Canva very well. That’s what I always use for all my designs like, featured post, my YouTube thumbnails, Instagram post, Facebook post etc. I actually use it for everything, including video editing. And it also has a mobile app. You can download it and use it for free.
Note, I didn’t say owning a laptop isn’t great for blogging, of course it is. It has its own convenience too. All I’m saying, you mustn’t necessarily wait till you own a laptop before venturing into blogging, if you own a powerful device, you’re good to Go!!.
Put your phone into blogging-use, till you get a laptop.
